1. What is the "Common Bond" extension?
The common bond extension allows the immediate family of a principal CareCoop member to join the society. This is designed to help families build multi-generational wealth and ensure the member's legacy continues within the cooperative.
2. Who qualifies as an "Immediate Family Member"?
Under the new guidelines, the following relatives of a principal member are eligible for secondary membership:
- Legal Spouses
- Children (This includes both biological and legally adopted children)
- Parents and Siblings (As part of the expanded common bond to include immediate family)
3.Can children below 18 years become members?
Yes. Children below 18 years can become members under the Junior Savers account managed by a parent or guardian.
4.Can members below 18 years access loans?
No. Members below the age of 18 are only eligible for savings accounts and cannot borrow.
5.Can a secondary member become a primary member?
Yes. After 5 years of membership, secondary members may transition into primary members and enjoy full membership benefits independently.
6.What happens when a member below 18 turns 18?
